Dr. Kirsten Olesen

I grew up in Grand Forks, B.C. and in my spare time kept myself busy with lifeguarding, volunteering and sports, in particular Shotokan Karate, which introduced me to chiropractic care due to various injuries. I studied biology and anthropology at the University of Alberta and enjoyed a year long study abroad at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia during that time. Reflecting on what kind of profession I wanted to pursue after graduation I was drawn to chiropractic since I wanted to work with people and learn a drug-free approach to pain relief. Over my four years at CMCC I have developed an interest in inter professional education and collaboration. I am currently pursuing two-year program at CMCC in Clinical Sciences.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, water-skiing, yoga, skiing and snowboarding. When I have too much time on my hands I often find myself victim to binge-watching various Netflix series – currently House of Cards.
