Justin Stachowich, DC

Dr. Justin Stachowich was born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON where he graduated from Hammarskjold High School, and receiving his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Lakehead University. Justin went on to further his education and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas, Texas graduating in 2014.

Dr. Stachowich, or Dr. Stak as known to his friends in Thunder Bay, is also a certified Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) provider. FDM is a treatment model in which virtually all-soft tissue injuries or musculoskeletal complaints, are viewed through one or more of the six different types of alterations to the body’s connective tissues. These alterations/concepts are then applied for soft tissue mobilization to treat soft tissue and fascial conditions. Dr. Stak has further training as a medical professional through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) focusing on diagnosis and treatment of golf injuries with the emphasis on golf posture and swing mechanics.

While working in Dallas, Texas, Justin had the privilege of working with the Allen Americans, an ECHL affiliate with the San Jose Sharks. There he was able to see first hand that athletes under regular chiropractic care have a greater potential for peak performance. He has participated in numerous health screenings and community functions for the implementation of health promotion and wellness strategies, and has worked extensively with all degrees within the running community; 5K marathon runners, triathletes and Iron Man’s.

Part of Dr. Stachowich’s passion in his field revolves around athletics, movement and being able to enjoy the outdoors! His love for Northwestern Ontario has allowed him to actively play hockey, golf and go hiking with friends in one of the many provincial parks that the Northwest has to offer. Each of these hobbies has allowed Dr. Stak to understand the perspective of his patients, and help them in their ability to move free of dysfunction and pain, and enable them to achieve a higher quality of life.
