Dr. Anne Sorrentino, DACBSP®

Dr. Anne Sorrentino has been serving the Northern Virginia area since 2012. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. John’s University and graduated cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic. She later achieved her Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP®), the highest level of sports chiropractic certification available. Prior to relocating to Virginia, she maintained a sports chiropractic practice in Indiana, Pennsylvania, for 24 years, treating athletes of all levels from the onset of injury through every phase of recovery and return to performance.

In recognition of her contributions to sports medicine, Dr. Sorrentino was named Sports Chiropractor of the Year in 2014 by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. She also served as Team USA’s chiropractor at the 2017 World University Games in Kazakhstan.

As a Senior Director with WMI Global, Dr. Sorrentino trains medical teams and oversees risk, safety, and rescue operations at international sporting events. She served as Medical Officer for Olympic Street and Park Skateboarding, including the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Her ongoing event work includes The Snow League, Nitro Circus, UCI BMX competitions, and World Skate events, and she previously supported the Ragnar Relays.

Dr. Sorrentino’s extensive sports medicine experience includes traveling with Team USA Archery and USA Bobsled/Skeleton, as well as serving on medical teams for the 2016 Olympic Track & Field Trials, USA Track & Field National Championships, IRONMAN Lake Placid, the State Games of America, and the Pennsylvania Keystone Games. She completed three clinical rotations at the United States Olympic Training Centers in Colorado Springs and Lake Placid and previously served as team doctor for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania men’s and women’s ice hockey teams.

In addition to her clinical and event work, Dr. Sorrentino is an adjunct instructor in the sports chiropractic program at the National University of Health Sciences. She is certified as an EMT, American Red Cross CPR Instructor, Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor, and National Ski Patroller.

A recognized soft tissue specialist, Dr. Sorrentino is extensively trained in the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), Active Release Techniques (ART), dry needling, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and cupping therapy. She incorporates these techniques to help patients recover from injury, restore function, improve mobility, and optimize performance.

An avid skier, golfer, cyclist, and kayaker, Dr. Sorrentino combines her passion for sports and medicine to help athletes recover from injury, enhance performance, and compete at their highest level.
